First Time Taking a Cross-Border Bus from Changi Airport to Johor Bahru
This was my first time taking the Transtar cross-border bus directly from Changi Airport to Johor Bahru, and the whole experience was much smoother than I expected. The TS1 route departs from the airport, goes through the Woodlands checkpoint, and heads straight to Johor Bahru CIQ—no need to change buses, which is very friendly for first-time passengers.
The only thing to note is that the driver has a bit of personality, so make sure you prepare exact change, as he doesn’t give change.
The boarding point is at Terminal 1, following the signs to the Coach parking area (Coach Bay B). It’s easy to find, and you go through immigration together with the bus. The adult fare is only SGD 11, making it both budget-friendly and convenient.
Next time I travel from Singapore Airport to Johor Bahru, I’d definitely consider taking this bus again.

Boarding Location
- Terminal 1: Arrival Coach Bay B / C
- Terminal 4: Arrival Coach Bay 7 / 8
Passengers arriving at Terminal 2 or Terminal 3 can take the Skytrain or walk to Terminal 1.
Route & Immigration
Passengers remain on the same bus while clearing immigration at Woodlands Checkpoint.
